It’s Okay

I’m posting this in the eleventh hour, I know! It’ll technically be posted on the 14th of March, 2026. I’ll have it out on time.

I wanted to tell you something important today.

It’s okay.

It’s okay when you feel late. It’s okay that you’re 31 years old and haven’t famously accomplished something. It’s okay when you’re 23, and you feel like your life is going nowhere. It’s okay if you’re 67, and you have to begin again. You are allowed to feel what you are feeling. I give you permission to cry about it. It’s okay.

When you are done crying, get back up, straighten your back, and start all over again.

Many famous people have been late bloomers. Just ask their website about their “…complete index of articles, biographies, and book reviews…” So many names on there, including Andrea Bocelli, Julia Child, and Vera Wang!

When you begin to feel like you’re not enough, you’re too old, or why even bother, talk to me. I will tell you why it matters. WARNING: My answer will be that YOU MATTER! I’m going to tell you the mantra this annoying mama makes her boys say every single day of their lives…

As I wind down for the night, I want you to remember those two words (technically three, but semantics)… IT’S OKAY! You will do it as long as you work towards a better you for tomorrow. You got this. I believe in you.

I’d love to hear from you. Tell me about your “late” thing, share it to hello@dinagalarzamapes.com—let's celebrate your accomplishments together. If you or someone you know is dealing with mental illness, please reach out to anyone. If you can’t talk to anyone, please dial or text 988, or even message me at my email address above.

Dina Galarza Mapes, Authorial Services

I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, but a creative slump in my

early twenties slowed me down. My passion and love for writing reignited at

29, and I haven’t looked back since. Now, I’m deeply immersed in a novella

series and other projects. I am actively supporting aspiring indie authors with

beta-reading, editing, and design services. I am committed to my mission to

make professional editing accessible and affordable. For more information,

please visit my website. As a passionate advocate for school

children, I love every minute of empowering young minds. I am a mother of two

energetic boys and have been married for eleven years to a hard-working

husband. Faith and family are my guiding lights. I’m a small-town Tennessee

resident who believes in the power of YET, and I hope that readers find

something positive within each story. My work is available on most e-book

platforms and via private purchase for physical copies; for updates and sneak

peeks on future books, check out my social media pages below.
