You are you

Did you know?

Do you know one of the greatest authors of all time? Theodor Seuss Geisel, or more commonly known as Dr. Seuss.

Yes, you saw that correctly. Dr. Seuss is one of the greatest authors of all time.

His life began in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1904. Then he went to Dartmouth College in 1921, received his BA in English in 1925, and married Helen Marion Palmer in 1927.

He had an entire lifetime before he was published. In 1937, when he was 33, he sent in countless manuscripts to just as many publishers until And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street was published.

That started his decade-long success, writing more than just children’s books. In 1948, they both became people to aspire to be: being part of the community and serving on several non-profit organizations.

Dr. Seuss Foundation

Did you know that his second wife, Audrey, and he created a foundation for education and literacy? The Dr. Seuss Foundation funds programs that promote learning, foster imagination, and help expand opportunities for all. “The Dr. Seuss Foundation believes in the critical importance of early childhood education.” Did you know that 90% of children’s brains develop by age five? “The Dr. Seuss Foundation recognizes and invests in five interconnected forms of literacy.”

  • Language

  • Arts and creativities

  • Social and emotional

  • Reading, writing, and math

  • The environment

Keep trying.

I mentioned above that Dr. Seuss was denied for years before he was finally published. He tried for years, sending in manuscript after manuscript, rejection after rejection until he was 33 years old.

Theodor Seuss Geisel was a man who wanted more for you. Dr. Seuss wanted you to be you. He didn’t want you to give up on your dreams or to be someone else that even you don’t recognize.

Keep trying, no matter how many times you fail. GET BACK UP, AND TRY AGAIN!

Don’t let the world beat you down. Be you because you are the only you.

“Today you are You, that is truer than true, there is no one alive who is You-er than You!” -Dr. Seuss

Let’s Wrap This Up.

Dina Galarza Mapes, Authorial Services

I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, but a creative slump in my

early twenties slowed me down. My passion and love for writing reignited at

29, and I haven’t looked back since. Now, I’m deeply immersed in a novella

series and other projects. I am actively supporting aspiring indie authors with

beta-reading, editing, and design services. I am committed to my mission to

make professional editing accessible and affordable. For more information,

please visit my website. As a passionate advocate for school

children, I love every minute of empowering young minds. I am a mother of two

energetic boys and have been married for eleven years to a hard-working

husband. Faith and family are my guiding lights. I’m a small-town Tennessee

resident who believes in the power of YET, and I hope that readers find

something positive within each story. My work is available on most e-book

platforms and via private purchase for physical copies; for updates and sneak
